Under 10's

Widmer End United under 10's play in the South Bucks Mini Soccer Conference Green group. We have a squad of around 16 players who all play an active part in all the matches we play. As well as playing in the friendly matches in the S.B.M.S.C we also enter the squad in the local summer tournaments giving the teams a run at the end of the season, whilst enjoying the fun-day out.

League home games are played at Four Ashes, (Location...) Widmer End where we have access to a number of mini soccer pitches. The emphasis of the under 10 team is to provide local boys and girls with the opportunity of first class coaching and to play football in a friendly, fun and safe environment.

The season runs from end of August to the end of May with weekly training sessions held at Four Ashes, Widmer End on Saturdays (from 9.30am to 11.00am). The League season runs from September to March. (Under 10's Fixtures...) During April/May and June we enter several local tournaments which are great family days out. At the end of the season we hold a family fun day with a medal presented to every player.

If you are interested in joining then come and meet us on a Saturday morning - and enjoy two free training sessions - we're sure you'll love it! Alternatively please contact the Under 10's Manager...

Under 10's Bad Weather Policy
For reasons of safety, if there has been hard frost, or it is snowing or raining heavily, we may have to cancel training. We make the decision to cancel by 8:45am If you want to know whether training is cancelled please ring your age group manager between 8:45am and 9.15am. Please don't wait for them to ring you! On match days, managers will contact the affected players directly.

Please make sure that kids are adequately prepared for the weather. That means enough layers to keep them warm and if its raining try to dress them in something waterproof. Hats and gloves are a good idea as the weather gets colder and children can always take off layers if they get hot. In the summer plenty cold drinks are essential. If there is a dramatic worsening of the weather conditions during training please don't wait until the end of session to come and pick kids up.
