Under 15's

Widmer End United under 15's play in Division 2 of the Bucks Free Press Junior Football League (formally known as Wycombe & South Bucks Minor Football League). . We have an enthusiastic and talented squad who all take an active part in the matches we play. As well as playing in the league the team is entered into the League Cup and will play in tournaments at the end of the league season.<.

League home games are played at Four Ashes, (Location...) Widmer End where we have an excellent pitch on which to play good football. Matches are on Sundays.

The aim of the under 15 team is to continue to develop and improve as a squad by placing emphasis on key skills, teamwork and understanding of the game. Fitness is achieved by high tempo training sessions that are hard work but fun and always with a ball. Team selection is based on performance and attitude during matches and also at training.

The team is coached by Terry Downes, an experienced FA qualified coach assisted by Simon Denslow.

The season ends with a fun day with a medal presented to every player and special awards to 5 members of the squad.

New players are always welcome to come along for a try out. Places are limited as we can only have 11 people on the park at one time on match days! If you love football and think you can play to a reasonable standard please get in touch. Contact the Under 15's Manager...

The season runs from September to May with weekly training sessions held at Four Ashes, Widmer End on Fridays (from 6.30pm to 8pm). The League season runs from September to March. During the winter period (November to January) the squad will train at the Astroturf at Woodrow House, (between Hazlemere and Amersham on the A404), starting at 6.45pm on Fridays.
