 Widmer End United Junior FC is a FA Charter Standard Club located in Widmer End near High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. We are a family focused junior football club where the emphasis is on enjoyment and participation for all.

All our managers and coaches are trained by the FA to at least level 1 coaching standard, have First Aid qualifications and have the necessary Child Protection clearance.

Club Ethos

Our aim as an FA Charter Standard Club is to provide children with a high quality, safe and fun football environment, to learn and develop their skills, both individually and as part of a team. The web site pages should provide a good insight into our children-first ethos. We welcome players (boys of all ages and girls up to age under 10) of all abilities and from all areas.

Club History

The club was formed in 1994 initially with just one team playing at under 8 level. Each year thereafter a new age group was added until in 2003 we had teams in all age groups and achieved a playing membership of around 200 players. When the playing field at Four Ashes became available we jumped at the chance to establish the club there. We now enjoy a long lease from Hughenden Parish Council who have been unfailingly helpful and cooperative ever since.

Over the years we have invested in the playing fields at Four Ashes which are now amongst the best playing surfaces that we play on. We have 2 full sized pitches and 4 small sided pitches. We are proud that several kids who started at Widmer End United have been spotted by professional clubs and have been offered the chance to train and play for their youth development teams.

We are also proud of the club’s disciplinary record and our many fairplay awards won over the years. These are just as important to us as winning matches and tournaments.

In May 2006, the club was one of the first in the region to become an FA Charter Standard Club in recognition of the proper and professional manner in which the club is run.
